Campania Express, the express train transporting tourists from Naples to Sorrento with stops at the Vesuvian Archaeological Sites.
Inaugurated in May 2015 as a new Circumvesuviana train, this year the Campania Express will run from 11 March 2018 to 28 October 2018, transporting holidaymakers from Naples to Sorrento in around 50 minutes. Departing from Naples Porta Nolana station, the Campania Express stops at: Naples Piazza Garibaldi station; Campania’s major archaeological sites of Herculaneum (Ercolano-Scavi station), Poppaea and the Villa of Oplontis (Torre Annunziata), Castellammare for the Stabian Villas and Pompeii (Pompei-Villa dei Misteri station); and then Vico Equense on the Sorrentine coast before arriving in Sorrento.
There are now 4 trains running in each direction daily between Naples and Sorrento and 2 additional trains running between Sorrento and Torre Annunziata.
On board there is a welcome video, films and photos to promote the cultural excellencies, the beauties of the area and the gastronomic delicacies. There are also multilingual help services planned for tourists.
