WiFi in the City, a project to provide free WiFi coverage in the main Piazzas of the city as well as municipal libraries and public offices in the city’s 10 municipalities was launched at Piazza Bellini and Piazza Municipio in March 2011. Next up was Piazza Dante, the Galleria Principe, and Via Port’Alba followed by WiFi at Città della Scienza.

And now, thanks to America’s Cup Naples 2012, the latest addition to WiFi in the City are six new points around Naples Villa Comunale Park.

With the exception of WiFi at Città della Scienza, access to the network is through the authentication service of Telecom Italia and the SMS system. Just find the network Comune-NA Piazze WIFI. This will connect you to a registration/log-in page where you enter your cell phone number to receive an SMS with your user name and password. Access to the internet is free for 3 hours a day.

Happy Surfing!!!
