A contemporary arts centre, temporary exhibition space, concert venue, conference centre, and meeting place, PAN, Palazzo delle Arti Napoli’s 6,000 square meters of space is imagined and re-imagined for every exhibit and every event it hosts.

Spread across three levels in the refurbished 18th century Palazzo Carafa di Roccella along Via dei Mille in Naples Chiaia district, PAN provides the perfect venue for contemporary works of art. Open, bright, and large enough to accommodate even some of the largest works of installation art, yet intimate enough for painting, sculpture, design, architecture, photography, and cartoon exhibits.

Opened in 2005, PAN also features a Documentation Centre complete with a library, media library and archives documenting the history of contemporary art. Additionally, the centre hosts educational programs, laboratories, workshops, seminars, and literary events.

If that sounds a bit confusing, it is, but therein lies the fun of visiting PAN. One never knows what they are in for when they walk in the door. If you are a lover of contemporary art, PAN is definitely worth a visit.
