Hello, I have been loving your blog! I will be returning to Southern Italy this summer , but will be doing things differently! So I have some questions about transportation and the best places to go in Napoli if I only have 48 hrs =).

Bonnie, thank you so much for posting there bulletins! I have just found your blog, it’s so informative and helping my planning a great deal.
My flight to Naples is on May 3. Could you possibly suggest what such a strike means in practical terms to a traveller? A delay? (I have a connecting flight from Milan to Naples, scheduled arriving time at around 4.30 pm local time). If possible, I would like to write with few other small questions. May I use the administrator@ email address above?
    Thank you so much again!!

My guess is that unless you are using Blue Panorama as one of your carriers, the strike won’t impact you, but we always recommend you check with your airline. Yes – you can send your questions to administrator@napoliunplugged.com :)

Bonnie, thank you. I sent you a message to the admin email (you provided above), got the impression you might not have received it. In one word, my question is about safety in Via Carbonara, my hotel is Palazzo Caracciolo; would it be safe to walk to there from P.Garibaldi, or it’s better to use a taxi? Also, if I catch a performance in Teatro San Carlo, should I take a taxi in the evening to get back to my hotel? And in the morning hours, to go to Pompei: could it be the case that I’m the only one at 8.30 am in the platform, and therefore could easily become a target? I’m a woman (from Toronto, Canada) travelling alone and a first-time visitor to Napoli.
Thank you again for your help!!
            Best regards.
            Thank
