Passionate about my adopted home, for me Naples is the perfect canvas. From its breathtaking vistas to its rich cultural heritage, I could live here a lifetime and never see it all, photograph it all, or write about it all.

L1 service will be extended from Università to Garibaldi at the end of December. Hooray!

I will go to Napoli on holidays in May and I need an information that I find nowhere on the Internet.
How long the metro train (line 2) takes from Campi Flegrei to Piazza Garibaldi?

    Thanks in advance,

        Thanks for your answer.

Do you know how long it takes in taxi to go from Campi Flegrei to the airport?
I precise that it would be on Sunday afternoon after a football match, which can maybe increase the traffic jam ?

        Thanks in advance,

It’s probably about 30 minutes to the airport from Campi Flegrei, but with football traffic, it could take quite a bit more.

Hi Bonnie :) I’m going to Naples in October. One of the days I want to visit Rome. Which train should I take from Napels centrale to get to Rome? Is the train stopping near the Vatican State?

    Love from Norway :)

Does the Naples Metro System (Intercity Metro Lines ) provide 24 hours operation?

Naples Metro does not run 24 hours a day. Hours of operation vary by the line, direction and in some cases the day. Lines 1 and 2 run from approximately 0600 – 2300, Line 6 runs from approximately 0730 – 1430 and is closed on weekends and holidays, the funicular lines each have their own hours of operation: Centrale 0630 – 0030 (2200 on Mon & Tues); Chiaia 0630 – 0030 (2200 on Wed & Thu); Montesanto & Mergellina 0700 – 2200.

Hi Bonnie, I’m new here in Naples and I will be attending school in the city. I live in Lago Patria, Campania and need to know what type of transportaion there is from where I am to the city. Would you be able to help me or at least point me in the right direction?

I think we spoke on Facebook yesterday. Hope you get your transport resolved. Just for your info: The Naples Cumana and Circumflegrei regional metro lines connect the city center at Montesanto with the town of Torregaveta in the Phleghrean Fields, Campi Flegrei. The Cumana Railway runs a southern route along the Bay of Naples and the Circumflegrea Railway takes a more northerly path through the Phlegrean Fields – more info here:

    Hi Bonnie,
I’m moving to Napoli next week, and need to get from Villaricca to Corso Vittorio Emmanuele on Friday 3rd April, which in England is a public holiday. Is it also a public holiday in Italy? If so, will there be closures/amended timetables on the metro/buses?

Hi Charlotte – as far as I know public transport in downtown Naples will run on a normal schedule but as I don’t know what transport you are planning to use to commute into Naples – I can’t give you any more specifics.
