An Italian saying is “See Naples, and then die!”

But I say “See Naples and live”,

because there is much here worth to be lived”

(Arthur John Strutt)

No better way to start my weekender post.. don’t you think?! Naples is the city that gave birth to many artists.. and keeps on doing it..

Just to give you two examples Pan Palazzo delle Arti di Napoli will be hosting Annamaria Volpe Personal Exhibit until May 11th, while at Castel Nuovo from May 4th through May 30th it’s possible to visit a wonderful paintings exhibit: “Napoli tra vesta e Dioniso –by Salvatore Vitolo”, that using a great number of colors, creates amazing chromatic allegories.

Naples is also trying to follow other European cities’ projects in order to capitalise on its natural resources, on May 10th and 11th an Open Conference will be held to discuss new ideas to improve the area of lungomare di Bagnoli, together with the “Ajuntament de Barcelona”, open to Neapolitan citizens and whomever wants to join the event.

Would you like to go back to the past? Then visit Castel dell’ Ovo on Sunday at 10am, Istituto Italiano dei Castelli has organized a Medieval Costumed Performance .. not to be missed!

If you like Nature, Orto Botanico di Napoli in occasion of Maggio dei Monumenti will be open every Sunday from 8.30 to 13.30.

(Entrance is free but reservation is recommended).

Enchanting Music events will be waiting for you at Pausilypon with Sunset Concerts and Teatro Trianon with Osare Jazz Festival.

Also..don’t forget all of the great events of Maggio dei Monumenti!

..and  Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there!!!
