13th century church of the Franciscan order. It was built on the site of an earlier 6th century christian church and an earlier macellum - Roman Market. Within the complex there is the San Lorenzo Maggiore Museum and an archaeological area below the church.Entrance to the church is free but there is a charge for the museum and archaelogical areas
