Here are my suggestion for this weekend.

Tonight, Thursday 15th January, ‘American Sniper‘ is being shown in ENGLISH at the Cinema Modernissimo, as part of their weekly series of movies in original language.

If that doesn’t interest you, ‘The Monuments Men‘, which is one of the CLA’s (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) series of films in original language, is being shown on Tuesday 20th January at the Cinema Academy Astra.

If you’re looking for some sport this weekend, then why not go along and support Givova Napoli vs. PMS Torino at their basketball match at the PalaBarbuto, on Sunday 18th January.

Don’t forget that Pino Daniele’s ashes are on display at¬†Castel Nuovo, until 22nd January.

On Saturday 17th January, there is a special performance of the ballet of Peter Pan at the San Carlo theatre, for families.

As part of the 2014-15 season of concerts at Villa Floridiana, Katia Ghigi and Michele Rossetti will be performing pieces by Mozart, Brahms, Rachmaninov and Bartok, with the option of a guided tour of the Duca di Martina Ceramics Museum and an aperitivo afterwards, on Sunday 18th January.

Also on Sunday, as part of the Alessandro Scarlatti Association 2014/2015 Concert Season, Maria Grazia Schiavo is in concert with the Ensemble Barocco di Napoli, at the Palazzo Reale.

Come back next week for the fairs/markets for January.

Finishing today, Thursday 15th January, is the photography exhibition¬†‚ÄėI Poerio, Storia e Poesia– Genealogy and history of the Poerio family, at Castel Nuovo.

Ending on Monday 19th January is ‘Preface / Prefazione‘, the exhibition of work by Walid Raad at the MADRE.

Of course there are more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.

Have a great weekend, and come back next week for an even more action packed list of things to do!
