The many Christmas fairs around Naples are now in full swing and will run until after Christmas.

From today until Saturday 6th December, Gustus is on at the Mostra d’Oltremare.  Gustus is the first major “AgroAlimentare”, fine dining and nutrition fair in the centre of the Mediterranean.

Also at the Mostra d’Oltremare from Saturday 6th to Monday 8th is VideoGameShow, the first edition of a new festival celebrating the latest and best video games and YouTubers, with tournaments, stalls and the chance to meet some of the key people in the industry.

The Naples Antiques Market is on this Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December.  Whether buying or just browsing, the market’s eclectic assortment of antiques and junk will keep you occupied for hours and will make for a great weekend jaunt.  The market takes place on the Lungomare.

The Campagna Amica Coldiretti Market will be held on Saturday 6th December (in Piazza S. Di Giacomo in Posillipo, and Piazza S. Mercadante on Corso Vittorio Emanuele) and on Sunday 7th December (at Piazza San Vitale in Naples, Viale Campi Flegrei in Bagnoli, Piazzetta Totò in Rione Alto, and at the Sagrato Parrocchia S. Maria del Carmine in San Giorgio a Cremano).  You’ll find local products and healthy and affordable food with low environmental impact: fresh fruits and vegetables, wines, olive oil and vinegars, cheeses, honey, salumi, bread and bakery products, and plants and flowers.

Sunday 7th December, the Mercato del Contadino, a market of all the best local produce, is being held in Piazza Carità.

Starting on Friday 5th December, following its success at PAN, the ‘#quantaluce exhibition by Carlo Arace returns at the Cloister of Santa Chiara.

The ‘#quantaluce‘ exhibition marks the start of ‘Natale al Chiostro‘ – a series of events celebrating Christmas, at the Cloister of Santa Chiara, which run until 7th January 2015.

Monday 8th December sees the last day of the ‘Circus of Horrors‘, at the Mostra d’Oltremare.  The ‘Circus of Horrors‘ was created looking back in time, as evidenced by the theme, the staging and the script of the show.  A show that combines three important arts: theatre, circus and cabaret.

Of course there are more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.

Have a fantastic weekend and I’ll be back next week! 🙂
