A spooky (slightly early) halloween hello to you all!
As always, so much fun to be had this weekend.
On Saturday 1st November, there is another of the fantastic ‘Night time visits to the Solfatara crater‘. A guided tour of the crater with an expert, followed by fish cooked using the steam from the crater and also the chance to taste some Agnanum Falanghina local wine.
The big event on Sunday 2nd November is #domenicaalmuseo – free entry to state run museums for all! A fantastic opportunity to get out and visit all those places you’ve never been to, but always wanted to go to.
And if you don’t like “soccer”, but prefer basketball, then why not go and support the Naples team – Givova Napoli vs Basket Barcellona – Sunday 2nd November, at the PalaBarbuto in Fuorigrotta.
STARTING THIS WEEKEND
Tonight, Thursday 30th October, is the vernissage of the exhibition of Boetti at Casamadre.
Another exhibition starting this weekend, on Saturday 1st November, is ‘S21′ – Photography exhibition of Roberto Arcangeli at PAN. The exhibition is an exploration of S21 extermination centre in Cambodia, and what it represents.
A fantastic series of concerts, ‘Music in Sacred Places‘, starts on Saturday 1st November. The series is one concert a week for 7 weeks, at 6 different incredible churches around Naples.
FINISHING THIS WEEKEND
Tonight, Thursday 30th October, is the last of the ‘Percorsi di Libertà‘ with Peppe Barile at the Nilo Museum Shop.
Also finishing tonight is the Festival Autunno Danza at the San Carlo Theatre. The end of the festival, which has always been the setting for new productions and international guests, finishes with ‘Eduardo, Artefice Magico‘.
The exhibition of Rita McBride and Lello Lopez is finishing tomorrow, Friday 31st October, at the Alfonso Artiaco Gallery.
Tomorrow, Friday 31st October, is the last chance to attend the ‘Friday at the ruins: Evening guided tours of the ruins‘, both of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Friday 31st October is the last day of the spectacular Ravello Festival.
Of course there are more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.
Have a brilliant weekend, and if you like Halloween, then I hope you have a suitably scary time! 😉
