The big event this weekend is the Vomero Notte 3.0, the third year of Notte Bianca in Vomero, on Saturday 11th October. With shops, restaurants and bars open until the early hours of Sunday morning, there is also more entertainment than you can shake a stick at! All the main roads in the Vomero area become pedestrian and are filled with music, dancing, children’s entertainment and more.
Tonight, Thursday 9th October, there’s a special, free, concert by the Tennessee Men’s Choir at the Basilica di Santa Maria della Sanità. The choir will take the audience on a musical journey from ancient sacred music to contemporary gospel.
Finishing tomorrow, Friday 10th October, is Una mostra impossibile – Masterpieces in detail. Your chance to see high quality, very enlarged, digital versions of masterpieces by Leonardo, Raphael and Caravaggio at San Domenico Maggiore.
If you’ve ever travelled through, or heard of, the fantastic Metro Art stations of Naples, then on Saturday 11th October you can enjoy Metro Art Tour Day – 5 free guided tours of the different stations.
Starting on Saturday 11th October is Walid Raad’s exhibition ‘Preface / Prefazione‘ at MADRE. The exhibition is the first, in an Italian public institution, dedicated to one of the most important contemporary artists emerging from the Middle East. The works are focused on the civil war in Lebanon.
Do you love music? Do you love vinyl records? Well you need to go to DiscoDays on Sunday 12th October at the Teatro Palapartenope. An annual festival for lovers of music and vinyl, with events including seminars and courses.
Every Sunday in October, the Mercato del Contadino di Napoli returns to Via Diaz. A fantastic market full of the best local food produce.
