Lots of great things happening over the next few days.
Finishing on Saturday 4th October is the Illuminated Night Tour of the Palace, the return to the eighteenth century (Percorsi di Luce nella Reggia – Il ritorno del Settecento). The tour explores the majestic avenues of the Italian-style gardens and the winding paths of the English Garden at the Reggia di Caserta.
A special event for this Sunday 5th October is #domenicaalmuseo – all state run museums, archaeological sites, parks, gardens, libraries, archives etc. are open to everyone FOR FREE for one day! The event is part of the changes in entry to state run museums.
On Sunday 5th October you can watch 21 Tableaux Vivants. 21 paintings of Caravaggio are brought to life using the bodies of 7 actors and everyday objects and draped fabrics. If you’re looking for something a bit different, then why not try an I Love Porta Capuana ‘Food and Art Tour‘. Your chance to be guided around the sites of the Porta Capuana area of the city, appreciating the art and trying specially prepared traditional foods connected to each location.
Looking for some sport? Sunday 5th October sees the league debut of Azzuro Basket Napoli (Givova Napoli) basketball team, against Basket Ferentino at the PalaBarbuto in Fuorigrotta.
Finally, applications to join the new Orchestra Scarlatti Young close on Monday 6th October. If you are aged between 18 and 28 years old and can play a musical instrument, then why not apply to join the orchestra! If you’re younger than 18, then you can try out for the Orchestra Scarlatti Junior.
Of course there are more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.
