A special concert with music from lots of different areas of the world, from the Mediterranean to Tibet. The concert is followed by a guided tour of the planets and sky, using telescopes set up in the piazza.
Starting tomorrow tonight (Friday 27th June), there will be an exhibition of watercolour paintings by Alessio Schiattarella and Riccardo Zagaria at Gino Ramaglia, Artisti in vetrina. The artists take inspiration from their surroundings, and also other famous pieces of art.
Ending on Monday 30th June, ‘Timeless Loves‘, a solo exhibition by Franco Porcasi is on show at the San Severo al Pendino Monumental Complex.
If you’re interested in inventions and science, then you need to head to the Naples Science Centre (Città della Scienza) before Monday 30th June, for ‘Hall of Fame’, a travelling exhibition which presents seven inventors from seven Europen countries whose inventions changed our lives. The event tells the stories, characterized by great ideas, of seven scientists and engineers – Anne Lambrechts, Benedetto Vigna, Josef Bill, Jan Topholm, Jason Chin, Farouk Tedjar and Jaap Haartsen.
Last, but not least, on Saturday 28th June from 15:00, starting in Piazza Dante, there is the Mediterranean Pride of Naples. A celebration to promote equal rights and to help improve people’s attitude towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual etc. people.
Of course there are even more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you get up to and I’ll be back next week. 🙂
