It’s been one week since you heard from me, now I’m back to tell you what’s going on this weekend.
This weekend is one of “catch it while you can”. I’ve chosen events that are either finishing this weekend, or are only happening in the next few days.
This weekend sees the 11th edition of the very popular Tattoo Expo at the Mostra d’Oltremare. Running from Friday 30th May – Sunday 1st June, besides being able to see the tattoo artists at work, you can listen to music, participate in organized games and watch the performance of body art.
For those of you with children, or wanting to feel young again, on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June at Naples Botanical Gardens, you can watch a performance of ‘Pinocchio’s Trees‘. What beautiful surroundings to enjoy some theatre! Why not follow it up with a walk around the gardens.
How about discovering an underwater park? On Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June, the CSI (Centro Studi Interdisciplinari Gaiola) will be giving tours in a number of different ways, snorkelling, glass bottomed boat, or diving. This fascinating area of the coast is just waiting to be explored.
On Saturday 31st May, the San Giuseppe delle Scalze church will be ‘Under Another Light‘. The church, which was closed for many years after the 1980 earthquake, will be host to guided visits, music and more.
Last, but not least, as part of May of the Monuments, there are 4 guided tours around different parts of the city – Tales of King Ferrandino, Places of Croce, Tales of Andreuccio from Perugia and Tales of Isabella Del Balzo and Tirinella Capece.
Of course there are even more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.
Don’t forget, these are the last few days of May, so make the most of all that May of the Monuments 2014 has to offer.
Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
