Did you miss me?!  Looking for something to do this weekend?

Following on from last week’s opening weekend of May of the Monuments, there is so much going on in Naples.  It’s truly a great time to be in the city.

This weekend sees the opening of the Latitude 34-40 art exchange show between Neapolitan and Los Angeles artists.  Four artists from Los Angeles have come over to be share ideas and inspiration with Neapolitan artists at Art1307 and their work will be on show, by appointment only, until May 25th.

If you prefer something musical, then Renzo Arbore and the Italian Orchestra will be performing in Naples on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May at the Teatro Augusteo.

Don’t forget Mother’s Day on Sunday 11th May! If you haven’t got a present yet, then why not try the Mother’s Day concert of the San Carlo Children’s Choir.  Sunday at the San Carlo Theatre.

Maybe you’re more sporty?  Then you should head down to the Rotondo Diaz for the Vans “Off the Wall” skateboarding contest.  This year the event is being held in Naples for the first time.  An incredibly exciting event in the skateboarding calendar, from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th May.

For all you international ladies out there, on Saturday 10th May, there is the monthly meeting of the American International Women’s Club (AIWC) at Christ Church Hall from 10:30-13:00.

Finally for my suggestions this weekend, one for the little, and not so little, ones – “Beware of the wolf!” – Mafalda returns to Naples and meets Lupo Alberto.  A blue wolf, light-hearted and a loser, a little girl and a collection of over 100 beautiful illustrated books, from 23 countries from 4 continents, for an exhibition that promises to overturn the stereotype of the big bad wolf from fairytales, turning it into a formidable tool to help promote diversity.  Running until Sunday 11th May at the Castel dell’Ovo.

Of course there are many more events currently on around Naples, details of which you can find on our events pages.

Continue making the most of this fantastic month of free visits, guided tours etc. and enjoy all that this wonderful city has to offer.
