Oh my goodness me! Can someone please tell me where time is going?! It’s running away with me and I can’t keep up! It feels like only yesterday I was writing about last weekend!

Tonight, Thursday 25th June, ‘Jurassic World‘ is being shown in English, with Italian subtitles, at the Cinema Modernissimo, as part of their weekly series of movies in original language.

Throughout June, July and August, there is ‘Cinema intorno al Vesuvio‘ – open air cinema at San Sebastiano al Vesuvio.

Tomorrow, Friday 26th, there is the last of the ‘Conversations at tea time‘ at the San Martino Charterhouse and Museum.

On Friday 26th there’s a special opening of the Carminiello ai Mannesi Archaeological Complex.

Starting on Friday 26th and every Friday night in July, there is ‘Aperitivo in the woods‘ at Oasi WWF Cratere degli Astroni.

Every Sunday, enjoy ‘Sundays at the Solfatara‘, a walk around a natural oasis, at the Solfatara.

As part ofIn the footsteps of the Grand Tour, there are the following events: Every Sunday in May, June, July, September and October, for  ‘The Campania of Wines‘, there are guided tours with dedicated transport to villages, castles, archaeological remains and museums combined with winery tours and wine tastings between art, history and traditions;  Every Saturday from May to October, for ‘The Campania of Flavours‘, there are guided tours with dedicated transport in art places, villages and monuments combined with visits to producers to observe the production process, flavor workshops and tastings of typical products in order to discover and appreciate the Slow Food Presidia and products of excellence in Campania; Every Sunday in May, October and November, for ‘The Campania of Music‘, there are a series of events with guided tours to the notes of melodies that have enchanted and captivated the world, breaking down the barriers between classical and folk music. In melody, everything…  Starting on 28th June and running until 13th September, is ‘Campania by Night‘.  At nightfall the archaeological sites of HerculaneumPaestum, Minori and the nature of Vesuvius return to life beneath the stars.

From 15th June until 19th July, there are special summer camps for children, organised through PAN.  ‘Discover the City 2015‘ is a weekly study program to meet the needs of the families in the summer period, when school has finished, but families aren’t yet on holiday.


On Friday 26th is Andrea Bocelli at the Reggia di Caserta.

On Saturday 27th at the San Carlo Theatre, there is ‘Petite Messe Solennelle‘.

There’s a ‘Musical Walk‘ by the Mastro Masiello Mandolino Group on Saturday 27th.

The Pozzuoli Jazz Festival starts on Saturday 27th.

On Sunday 28th, my fellow Southamptoner, Craig David, is at Nabilah! (I’m going and I’m excited! :D)


From 19th to 28th June, there is the ‘Fiera della Casa‘ at the Mostra d’Oltremare.  Fiera della casa is the most durable fair in Italy (58th edition in 2015) and one of the most important events in southern Italy, dedicated to interior design, furnishings, garden furniture, handicrafts, fashion and so on.

The Space – Pizza Village‘ runs from Tuesday 23rd to 28th June in Torre del Greco.

Every weekend there is the Campagna Amica Coldiretti Market at various locations in Naples and the surrounding area.

Every Sunday in the pedestrian area of Via Diaz, there is the Mercato del Contadino – a wonderful market of all the best local produce.

Every Sunday at the Hippodrome Park of Agnano, there is an antique, craft and flea market.

Every Sunday at the Fiera di Nocera Inferiore, there is the Salone Dell’Usato, a large, covered market, selling crafts, antiques, collectibles and modern antiques/art.


Yesterday, Wednesday 24th, the Rosanna Nisi exhibition began at PAN.


Finishing on Sunday 28th is the ‘Sendai City.  Alla fine del futuro‘ exhibition by Marco Bolognesi at PAN.

Don’t forget, every Sunday at 10.30 there is a mass in English at the Christ Church in Naples.
