Funiculare di Montesanto Closes for 2 Months

Metronapoli has announced the closure of the Funiculare di Montesanto fromMon 9 July until Sunday 9 September. The Montesanto funicular will remain closed to the public for maintenance and technical adjustment of the system. The maintenance is aimed at improving the security and quality of travel and provides for the replacement of carts and wheels of the cars, the review of hydraulic power, circuit brakes and doors.

In place of the funicular during this period, ANM will establish bus route C35, whose scheduled stops will be at via Morghen (staz. Funicolare Montesanto) – via D’Auria – staz. Cimarosa (Funicolare Chiaia) – Vanvitelli (MN1) – V. L. Sanfelice – Via Palizzi – fermata Palazzolo (Fun. Chiaia) – fermata Petraio (Fun. Centrale) – Via Palizzi  – v. L. Sanfelice – via Bernini – via Morghen (staz. Funicolare Montesanto) – with a frequency of every 35 minutes between the hours of 7.30 and 19.00.
